Timothy J. Sweeney, MD

Sweeney's Story

Dr. Sweeney is a medical school graduate from the Ohio State University. He completed Radiology Residency at the University of Florida, Jacksonville, Florida. Dr. Sweeney served in the U.S.A.F at Wilford Hall Medical Center, Lackland AFB , Texas, where he was Chief of Thoracic Radiology. He then trained in Musculoskeletal Radiology in San Antonio, Texas. Dr. Sweeney has held the position of Assistant Professor of Radiology and Nuclear Medicine at three medical schools: the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences, the University of Texas Health Science Center, and currently the Florida State University College of Medicine. He is a member of the American College of Radiology, the Radiological Society of North America, the Roentgen Ray Society, and the Society of Skeletal Radiology. Dr. Sweeney joined Radiology Associates in 2000 and his special interest is musculoskeletal radiology.
