Charles D. Williams, MD, FACR

Dr. Williams' Story

Dr. Williams did his undergraduate studies at Mercer University, Macon, Georgia. He graduated from the Medical College of Georgia, Augusta, Georgia in 1966. He served a rotating internship at the Medical Center of Central Georgia and residency at the Medical Center of Central Georgia (Family Practice). He served an additional residency at Baylor College of Medicine (radiology) in Houston, Texas and was Chief Resident from 1972 to 1973. He served as Captain in the U.S.A.F. M.C. from 1968 to 1970. Following this, he was Clinical Fellow and Instructor in Pediatric Radiology at the University of Florida College of Medicine until he began practice with Radiology Associates in 1974. His special interests include pediatric radiology and mammography. Dr. Williams served as President of the Florida Radiological Society from 1997 to 1998 and is a recipient of their highest honor, the Gold Medal. He was named a fellow of the American College of Radiology in 1992. Dr. Williams has served in several positions in the American College of Radiology, including Vice President from 2006-2007.
