Medical Scheduler

Our practice is searching for Full Time Medical Scheduler. The hours for this position are Monday-Friday, 8:30a-5:30p with an hour lunch. Due to the nature of this position, previous medical experience is preferred. This is a fast past position in a call center environment. The position involves answering incoming calls, making outgoing calls and working with fellow employees and other departments to schedule patients for imaging exams.

Requirements:

-Must be able to type 35 wpm

-Must have excellent customer service skills

-Must have a track record of being dependable and on time

-Previous medical experience is highly preferred.

-Previous radiology experience is STRONGLY preferred

MRI Technologist

Job Description

Ability to work flexible schedule is required including some evenings and weekends. Call is required as well.

General Duties:

Know and understand how to work all aspects of MR scanners and PACS system.

Read patient history forms to determine exam protocol and contraindications and assure that radiologist has proper history to assist in making a diagnosis. Confirm that all paperwork has been properly filled out and signed.

Keep Medical Assistants informed of any changes in normal procedures and when running behind schedule.

Assist front desk personnel with scheduling and help answer questions and concerns they may have when necessary.

Assist Medical Assistant when necessary with patient prep and set up. Perform IV access on MR patients, and assure that the informed consent form for Gadolinium injection has been properly filled out and signed.

Organization of MR patient workload.

Answer all questions and assist with concerns that the patient may have prior to, during, and/or after the MR Scan.

Explain procedures to patients in a clear and precise manner to guarantee the understanding of the procedure that they are having performed.

Fill out the incident reports related to Gadolinium reactions.

Have ability to call and inform MR service department of problems and arrange service calls and preventative maintenance.

Accurately record patient information on MR ledger.

Mark daily appointment book for arrival/no show of patients.

Monitor patient’s vital signs during scanning when necessary.

Education:

Current certification of the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). Certification in Magnetic Resonance Imaging with the American Society of Radiologic Technologists. Must maintain ongoing continuing education requirements. Current CPR certification.

Experience:

Prior MR experience strongly preferred.

Knowledge:

1. Knowledge of MR scan policies and protocols.

2. Knowledge of anatomy and physiology and clinical indications necessary to follow proper scanning protocols.

Skills

Skill in production of quality MR scans.

Ability to effectively care for patients.

Ability to maintain cooperative relations with interdepartmental personnel.

Payroll Specialist

JOB TITLE: Payroll Specialist

SUPERVISED BY: Controller

SUPERVISES: Not applicable

GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES: Management of payroll administration, to include:

• Managing and processing payrolls and assisting managers, employees and senior leaders as appropriate, including data gathering, calculation and processing of special pay for doctors.

• Completion of accurate and efficient payrolls, including processing of all required payroll reports and checks. Works closely with Human Resources and Accounting Departments to ensure payroll processing meets proper cut-off dates and adheres to weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly reporting schedules. Provides backup support for the Accounting Department as needed.

• Processing of bi-weekly payroll, to include maintaining employee information (deductions, taxes, garnishments, direct deposits, and support orders), reviewing earnings, processing payroll/financial reports.

• Screens daily time card punches and verifies accuracy of data entry both daily and weekly for reasonableness and consistency. Communicates with supervisors to correct and fix time card issues.

• Monitors on a daily/weekly basis the Paylocity system – adding/updating schedules, new hires, and correction of missing punch exceptions, event monitoring, and accrual edits.

• Checks the payroll account on a daily basis for exceptions, which includes daily/weekly review of reports for Paylocity time card issues and assist supervision in making corrections in Paylocity.

• Maintain a high level of security and confidentially of sensitive information.

• Correspond with and for employees regarding payroll printouts of earnings, W-2’s, information requests and/or letters for employees or outside agencies and maintaining of the Paylocity payroll card program.

• Processes voids, manual checks, enters disability payments, review and enter payment adjustments, process garnishment payments.

• Reconcile all monthly invoices as it pertains to benefits against Paylocity to ensure billing accuracy and employee’s benefit elections and deductions are correct

• Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION:

Undergraduate degree in HR or Business preferred

EXPERIENCE:

Three to five years of payroll experience. Paylocity experience a plus!

KNOWLEDGE:

General knowledge of accounting processes. Proficient with basic Excel functionality.

Staff Accountant

Job Description

OVERVIEW:

Staff Accountant is responsible for assisting the accounting department with maintaining accurate and timely financial records for the Company. Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations, financial reporting as well as daily financial entries and reconciliations. Position is also responsible for assisting with daily billing functions, including patient inquiries and other accounting duties as needed.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Time of Service Payment processing: Includes preparing bank deposits, recording in G/L, communicating with billing company to ensure proper posting to patient accounts, reprocessing rejected payments

· Research patient billing inquiries and follow up with patients via phone to resolve discrepancies

· Track total Company Charges and Payments daily and provide Sr. Mgmt with updates throughout each month

· Assist with monthly balance sheet reconciliations and reporting

· Other accounting duties, as needed

EDUCATION:

· College degree in business, accounting, finance or equivalent work experience

EXPERIENCE:

· 2 years+ accounting or bookkeeping experience desirable

SKILLS:

· Strong computer skills, including Excel, business intelligence and reporting software

Clinical Data Retrieval Assistant

POSITION: Clinical Data Retrieval Assistant

GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES:

Responsible for gathering Protected Health Information (PHI) to aide departments in complete exam submission for timely reporting. Responsible for carrying out all duties related to processing incoming PHI and ensures that all necessary patient data is coordinated thoroughly, accurately and expeditiously. Provides customer service satisfaction to both internal and external customers. Prepares document and studies in RIS and PACS to support Radiologists.

EXPERIENCE – Skills Required:

Minimum of one year work experience in a medical office setting. Computer experience in Radiology/Imaging facility preferred. Proficiency with Microsoft Windows, Medical Record Information Systems and PACS related to patient data entry & PHI storage. Exceptional verbal and written communications skills with emphasis on accuracy of patient health information, documentation and storage.

Full Time Registered Nurse

Job description

The hours for this position are Full Time, Monday-Friday with 8 hour shifts rotating between the hours of 8am-4pm or 12PM-8PM with a potential day time Saturday shift up to every 3 weeks

GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES:

Responsible for providing professional nursing care to patients in the various sections of Radiology Associates and Tallahassee Diagnostic Imaging.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Oversees and assists in the preparation of patients for their respective exams.

Demonstrates an ability to effectively assess the patient’s needs prior to and after their interventional procedure, and performs all pre and post procedural teaching necessary.

Schedules all Interventional procedures and obtains all necessary documentation prior to appointment.

Explains procedures to patients in a clear and precise manner to guarantee the understanding of the procedure that they are having performed and answering all questions and concerns that the patient may have prior to their study.

Reads patient notes, follow patient safety screening instructions, and prepares a plan of care/action if there are possible contraindications for the performance of their procedures.

Maintains accurate, objective, and comprehensive documentation on the patient’s interventional medical record.

Reports any deviation in care or problem with the patient to the attending radiologist(s) or appropriate health care provider.

Responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, quiet, restful and attractive environment in the interventional area.

Performs IV access on patients as required in all Radiology Associates’ sections.

Responsible for administering annual PPDs and maintaining pertaining records for all employees.

Maintains all crash carts (i.e., check drug quantities, dates, strengths, etc.) in the Radiology Associates physical plant.

Responsible for in-service programs directed toward patient care, infection control, JCAHO, and OSHA guidelines, etc.

Records and follows up on all incident reports, and implement training programs to resolve occurring incidents as needed.

Performs In-Service and training of all Radiology Associates personnel in emergent management of all patients during adverse events.

Participate in all emergency events that occur in all areas of the Radiology Associates facility.

Implement QA/QI programs and provide appropriate feedback and implement plan of action to address any negative results.

Liaison between clinical support staff and technical staff in the establishment and implementation of plans of care and action plans.

Additional nursing duties deemed necessary for the operation of Radiology Associates as determined by the Radiology Associates administrative committee.

EDUCATION:

High school degree or equivalent. Graduation from an approved school of nursing.

Licensed by the State of Florida as a Registered Nurse. Current BLS and ACLS certification. (Must be obtained prior to employment, or not less than 3 months after employment).

EXPERIENCE:

Minimum of two years experience as a Registered Nurse required.

Two years of critical care or interventional radiology experience preferred.

KNOWLEDGE:

1. Knowledge of basic nursing principles and protocols.

2. Knowledge of policies and procedures related to infection control, environmental safety and patient confidentiality.

3. Knowledge of OSHA regulations.

4. Knowledge of ACLS protocols

SKILLS:

1. Able to assess and assist during interventional radiology procedures.

2. Recognition and treatment of an emergent event/ deteriorating patient.

3. Recognition and treatment of allergic/ anaphylactic reactions.

4. Proficient in intravenous access skills (including ports, PICC lines and peripheral IVs).

5. General knowledge in computer systems.

6. Ability to work effectively as team members with physicians and other staff.

PHYSICAL/MENTAL DEMANDS:

Combination of standing 6-8 hours per day, walking, bending, reaching, lifting and transferring activities. Must be able to use correct body mechanics to assist patients appropriately. Occasional stress from multiple requests. May be required to use personal vehicle for short distance travel between work sites.

ENVIRONMENTAL/WORKING CONDITIONS:

Sometimes works in close quarters. Exposure to communicable diseases, body fluids, and other conditions common to radiology office settings.
