Early detection of breast cancer is the cornerstone of successful treatment for breast disease. Mammography can detect breast cancer long before a lump can be felt during a manual breast exam. The Women’s Imaging Center is an approved mammography center staffed by registered technologists and highly trained mammographers. Additionally, supplementary ultrasound and specialized biopsy equipment is also available for a complete workup of any abnormalities found during the mammogram. If you have had a mammogram elsewhere, please tell us at the time of your exam, so that we can get those films for comparison. |
